ESLR Check

1. Summary of how you've been an effective learner this year.
This year has been very hard and stressing for me and has caused me a great deal of challenges but through all of that, I have achieved my goal of being an effective learner through asking questions. In the past, I have been that person that keeps his mouth shut when he doesn't get it and just tries to look over it when he gets home. My goal was to change that and I did. I would constantly ask my peers...for answers haha just kidding! and even if I did, its to check my answer:) but seriously though, I'm very proud that I'm asking now especially my teachers. I would come by after school and I would ask Ogden how to do a problem if I didn't get something in his quiz or his homework. I would go to Melogno's office hours to try to understand the physics. I would ask Jack because I mean why wouldn't anybody?. I have actually read Catcher in the Rye and its only the third assigned book that I actually read or is reading in my iPoly years. Lastly, even though i have missed some homework assignments, I am trying my hardest to keep up with all the homework and complete it.


2. Cite evidence from the senior project (be specific and use examples) 
An example on how I have been an effective learner for my senior project is simply me going to basketball practice almost every school day and even Saturday. It's been around 3 weeks that I have been going or maybe more? but all I know is that I am having a lot of fun working with these middle school kids. I started out by being the person on the sidelines observing the coaches do their thing and now I'm part of their team and I get to share some tips and help out the players. They even call me coach!:) and they ask me what they're supposed to do and that's a very big deal for me because I know its a sign of respect and trust for them to be wanting to do what you tell them.


3. What are specific ways that you can improve in this ESLR during second semester?
I will definitely get more sleep at home so that I wouldn't have to take little naps in school lol. I will also organize a little better even though I'm fairly organized. MOST IMPORTANTLY I will try my hardest to keep up with all these VERY HARD physics stuff and aleks.:)
