Defining the Essential Question

1.What is the most effective aspect of coaching to focus on to lead a successful  basketball team?

2. Effective- Able to accomplish a purpose

Aspect- A distinct feature or element in a problem, A characteristic to be considered

Coaching- Teach and supervise

Focus- The concentration of attention

Lead- A position of leadership

Team- A cooperative unit

3.  Knowledge of the game,  relationship with the team, and leadership.

4. I haven't really gotten an important source yet but this week I'm planning on meeting with Cal Poly's assistant basketball coach Bill Bannon for service learning and to also interview him.

What is the most the most effective aspect of coaching to focus on to lead a successful basketball team?

a. "Most important" let's you have a lot of different kinds of answers for this question.

b. I can be able to list all the kinds of characteristics and also be able to argue which of those characteristics are the best for coaching basketball.

c. I can take classes that involve leadership and also just observe and learn how to communicate and teach the players.
